Clinical Supervision

What Is Supervision?

As social workers whom have dedicated their lives to serving BIPOC, having the right professional support team is essential to our effectiveness and success in guiding our clients on their healing journey.

One of the most important members of your professional support team is your clinical supervisor. At UIMH, we specialize in training and teaching clinicians how to render effective, culturally competent, and trauma-informed mental health services.

We also provide guidance and mentorship for social workers whom are interested in political social work and community practice.

What to expect.

If you are interested in supervision, here is the process and what you can expect:
1. You will complete the supervision form and give us some background information about you.
2. Administration will reach out to you in efforts to pair you with a supervisor whom will be the best fit for you.

3. Your supervisor will meet with you for the initial supervision session and work collaboratively with you to establish your supervision and professional goals.
4. The supervision contract will be completed.
5. The work begins!

Clinical Consultation

If you are a fully licensed clinician and are interested in learning the practice of decolonization and racial trauma therapy, this service is for you! We provide clinical consultation is some of the following areas:
